I, too, have hovered half an inch above a fish while it wiggles beneath my feet. Neither of us disturbing the water because we’re respectful.
Quiet Quitting is when you’re not doing anything wrong but the vibes are off
I love the term “Quiet Quitting” because it doesn’t even describe anything similar to the thing it’s used to refer to. I guess it could maybe be quiet, but quitting is the exact opposite of what is taking place.
I quit! >:( *continues to excel at job while getting paid*
Doing the Dracula Daily read-a-long this year and I’m wanting to do something a little extra while reading. I’m going to try and make some of the meals shown in the book, but does anyone have any ideas of what else I can do for fun?
Fun Dracula Daily activities: visit the towns mentioned! :D
Fascinated by what the business case could be for Coca-Cola using generative AI.
Sometimes I look at kickstarters and people are just attaching AI to things that AI doesn’t do. There’s an AI lawnmower (what?), AI touchscreen doorbell (que?), AI BACKPACKS!
What does a smart backpack even do??? What does an AI backpack do??
“Hey backpack, do I have a pen with me?” “I’m sorry Dave, I’m afraid I can’t help you with that. May I interest you in writing an essay?”
I am looking neither respectfully nor disrespectfully. I gaze without recognition of your form, and without understanding.

So here’s the thing. The DeLorean was a terrible car. The alternator was underpowered so you could have a dead battery randomly while driving, the engine was weak (blame Prez Carter), it was just a bad car. Consider how often the car having issues was a plot point in the movies.
100%, if back to the future were made in 2025, it would absolutely fit.
All the “DeLorean won’t start” scenes fit.
Stepping or step dancing is “a percussive dance in which the participant’s body is used to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand-claps,” writes the African American Registry.
Step has its origins in Africa, as dancing has been a large part of traditional African culture for centuries.
Calling Step a “bizarre silent dance without music” has to be one of the wilder antiblack racist descriptions I’ve ever heard of stepping lmao. Anyway if you see the video, it’s step!!! They’re stepping!! It’s a Black American form of dance!!
Also, it has roots in defiance! In communication, in protest! It was literally used to communicate in song when drums were banned because white slave owners didn’t want slaves speaking to each other! It just… How disrespectful. This is what happens when no one else’s history is emphasized or allowed to be taught in this fucking country.
Anyone who tried to wield the legendary sword would instantly turn to dust. Your country uses this as a method of execution. Little did you know, you were the chosen one it was waiting for.
I did a non-binary achievement today: I used three different genders of bathrooms.
Tomorrow I might try for four!
At my uni there are two genders. Studets and staff.
God, the California single-occupancy-bathroom-law created a bunch of staff bathrooms. So many places that were built before the law change have two bathrooms, staff and everyone else, or worse: they only have one bathroom now, the other one is storage
The only correct response is the white house response. Built with segregated bathrooms but now there’s double the bathrooms anyone can use!
sorry i overreacted i had no idea everything would be fine

Movies need less consequential easter eggs. Like Alfred Hitchcock being in his own movies. Less “this implies the Bob universe and the George universe are the same!! :OOOOOO” and make 7x more “you see the driver? That’s the actual guy the movie is based on. He’s driving the guy playing him to the climax! I know! Cool, right?”
